Thirty years later, the chocolate shop opened its doors facing the ocean. In this prestigious art deco setting, Amanda concocts a hot chocolate from a recipe that is still kept secret. Exceptional coffees and teas from all over the world are served alongside travel cakes, delicious homemade pancakes and waffles.

This family-run business is deeply attached to its local area, and today employs more than fifty local people, both directly and indirectly. As an integral part of its environment, it uses only the freshest seasonal produce, to the delight of its customers.

Amanda, a French art of living.

Founded in 1988, Amanda Chocolaterie is an original and unique concept. What makes it special is that it offers a gourmet stop-off on the way back from the beach. Chocolate sardines, seagull eggs, “mogettes” and “roudoudous”… classics that have become unmissable. The oldest chocolate factory in Les Sables-d’Olonne has become a tradition.
